Digital Aptech Pvt Ltd.DAPL in short, is a global 360-degree IT solution and outsourcing company based in India, with its headquarter at Kolkata,West Bengal. We provide development and staffing services across various industries, offering comprehensive digital solutions to our clients.
Purpose of the Handbook
The purpose of this Employee Handbook is to provide a clear understanding of our policies, procedures, and benefits. It serves as a guide to help you navigate your employment with DAPL and understand what is expected of you.
2. Employment Policies

Anti-Harassment and Discrimination
DAPL strictly prohibits any form of harassment or discrimination. Employees are encouraged to report any incidents of harassment or discrimination to their supervisor or the Human Resources (HR) department or the POSH committee immediately.
Workplace Conduct
Employees are expected to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times. Unprofessional behavior, including but not limited to, bullying, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct, will not be tolerated.
3. Employment Procedures
Recruitment and Hiring
DAPL follows a fair and transparent recruitment process. All job openings are posted internally and externally, and candidates are selected based on their qualifications and experience.
Employment Categories
- Full-Time Employees: Employees who work a regular schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Part-Time Employees: Employees who work less than 40 hours per week.
- Temporary Employees: Employees hired for a specific period or project.
- Contract Employees: Employees hired under a contract agreement or under external vendors or registered partners.
Orientation and Training
New employees will undergo an orientation program to familiarize themselves with DAPL’s policies, procedures, and culture. Ongoing training and development opportunities will be provided to enhance skills and knowledge.
4. Compensation and Benefits
Salary and Wages
Employees will receive a competitive salary based on their role, experience, and performance. Salary reviews are conducted annually.
Performance Reviews
Performance reviews are conducted annually to assess employee performance, set goals, and discuss career development.
Benefits Overview
DAPL offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks. Details of the benefits will be provided during the onboarding process.
Leave Policies
- Privilege Leaves(Paid Leave + Sick Leave)
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Employees are entitled to paid time off for vacation, personal days, and illness.
- Sick Leave: Employees may take sick leave as needed and are encouraged to stay home when unwell.
- Maternity/Paternity Leave: Paid leave is provided for new parents on completion of the probationary period.
Public Holidays: Employees are entitled to paid leave on public holidays recognized by DAPL.
5. Work Hours and Attendance
Work Schedule
The standard work hours per week is 40 excluding 1 hour break, typically Monday to Friday. Specific work hours may vary based on role and department.
Attendance and Punctuality
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Employees are expected to notify their supervisor in advance if they are unable to work.
Overtime
Non-exempt employees may be required to work overtime. Overtime must be pre-approved by the supervisor and will be compensated in accordance with applicable laws.
6. Employee Conduct and Discipline
Code of Conduct
Employees are expected to adhere to DAPL’s Code of Conduct, which includes ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for others.
Disciplinary Procedures
Violations of company policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Disciplinary actions may include verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension, and termination.
Grievance Procedures
Employees are encouraged to report any grievances to their supervisor or the HR department. All grievances will be handled promptly and confidentially.
7. Workplace Safety
Health and Safety Policies
DAPL is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. Employees must adhere to all safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
Reporting Accidents and Injuries
Any workplace accidents or injuries must be reported to the supervisor and HR department as soon as possible.
Emergency Procedures
Emergency procedures, including evacuation plans and emergency contact numbers, will be communicated to all employees. Regular drills will be conducted to ensure preparedness.
8. Information Security
Data Protection
Employees must protect sensitive and confidential information. Data must be handled in accordance with DAPL’s Data Protection Policy and relevant regulations.
Acceptable Use of IT Resources
IT resources, including computers, email, and internet access, must be used responsibly and in accordance with DAPL’s Acceptable Use Policy.
Confidentiality
Employees must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information. Unauthorized disclosure of such information is strictly prohibited.
9. Remote Work Policy
Eligibility and Requirements
Remote work may be permitted based on job role and performance. Employees must have a suitable work environment and necessary equipment.
Communication and Productivity
Remote employees are expected to maintain regular communication with their team and meet productivity standards.
Equipment and Security
Remote employees must ensure the security of company equipment and data. All remote work must comply with DAPL’s Information Security Policy.
10. Separation of Employment
Resignation
Employees wishing to resign must provide a written notice to their supervisor. A minimum notice period of two weeks is required.
Termination
Employment may be terminated by DAPL for reasons including performance issues, misconduct, or organizational changes. Employees will be provided with a notice period or compensation in lieu of notice as per applicable laws.
Exit Procedures
Upon separation, employees must return all company property and complete an exit interview.
11. Miscellaneous Policies
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property created by employees during their employment with DAPL belongs to DAPL. Employees must sign an Intellectual Property Agreement.
Social Media Policy
Employees must use social media responsibly and ensure that their online activities do not negatively impact DAPL’s reputation.
Travel and Expense Policy
Employees traveling for business must follow DAPL’s Travel and Expense Policy. Expenses must be approved and documented.
